Amit has a zest for living life with joy, love, and wonder. His passion is to help others discover clarity, warmth and power within themselves. He showcased an innate love to assist others in their lives from a young age. He was nicknamed the “neighborhood care bear”, who loved to share in his time to spare.
Amit moved to NYC in 2010 and after some years, the stressors and social pressures began to overwhelm him. He stopped caring for his body and his life became imbalanced. One day, while not paying attention crossing the street, he was hit by a motorcycle that lead to a head and spinal injury. This was a rude awakening and the beginning of his transformational journey.
In order to fix the aftermath, Amit began to make unconscious habits into conscience choices and turned to yogic practices to heal his physical injuries and strengthen his mind, focus and awareness. He felt the holistic positive results, which inspired him to share and delve deeper into the therapeutic aspects of yoga and meditation.
Through continued sharing, Amit joyfully slipped into the role of teaching yoga on a regular basis. His classes are kind, fun and transformational as he creates a space that kindles inspiration and motivation. He effortlessly takes ancient wisdom and makes it applicable to modern life. Amit’s personal practice is focused on Kriya Yoga and meditation. He is a Yoga Alliance certified instructor and a Reiki Grand Master.
