Carlos Michael and LeAnn Eriksson, as Wavegarden, create world music with an unusual twist:  the vibrations from their extensive collection of crystal singing bowls put audiences into deep relaxation and altered states. This concert will be a full-body, multi-sensory experience, including the sounds of the bowls, waveharps, flutes, voice, and tabla drums, and also scent, color and light.  Wavegarden's vibrations create an open space in which we can easily open to the wisdom of our own bodies and beings.  Joy, lightness, and play return to us, in a vibrational field of love and unity which allows us to re-member our whole selves and our connection to all that exists.

Carlos Michael has spent many years in India, where he studied tabla with Tarun Banerjee. He discovered crystal singing bowls through his profession as a body worker. From the first few bowls that he used on clients' bodies, his collection expanded, and he began offering regular concerts. Carlos has developed unique mallets for bowl playing, and this has expanded to special mallets for the waveharps, an instrument that is a cross between zither and hammer dulcimer. Whether he's playing bowls, waveharps, or tabla/udu, Carlos has a unique, spontaneous way of making music that doesn't follow expected norms...this is more than music. When not on the road, Carlos is now living near Ubud on the island of Bali in Indonesia.

LeAnn Eriksson is passionately curious about human potential. She had already begun to experiment with music as body work when she heard Carlos playing the bowls in 2006, and was instantly attracted. LeAnn began singing as a small child, and started playing classical flute at the age of ten. She also plays wooden flute, bansuri (Indian bamboo flutes) and Irish whistles. Although she has never formally studied shakuhachi, her many years living in Japan also have an influence on Wavegarden's music. Singing with the bowls has had a profound opening effect on the voice coming through LeAnn; listeners have described it as "angelic." When not traveling, LeAnn is now based near Ubud, on the island of Bali in Indonesia.

Carlos and LeAnn formed Wavegarden in 2007 and have since led audiences on vibrational journeys all over Europe and the United States.  They moved from Germany to Bali in July of this year, and now live near Ubud.

What is Sound-Diving™?

Sound-Diving™ is guided immersion in vibrations of light and sound from crystal singing bowls, which are energy amplifiers that easily bring our bodies and being into an open state of ease and balance.

All of life is vibration, and our bodies are no exception.  Healthy tissue exists in a state similar to liquid crystal, and energy moves through it freely, without restrictions.  When tension and dis-ease come into our bodies, this flow is restricted or blocked.  Vibrations from crystal singing bowls resonate with the water in our bodies, and this resonance causes the tissues to naturally and easily let go of blocks in all areas of our being.  The sound and light vibrations from the bowls also have a strong effect on our brains, causing the two halves to link, and putting them into the alpha or even deeper states that are only found when we are deeply relaxed.  These are the states we were in during childhood, when much of our conditioning and assumptions about reality were created.

Sound-Diving™ offers an opening into that space of effortless being that you may remember from childhood.  This is a space of lightness and joy, in which we know that the universe is supporting us, we live in complete abundance, and there are no mistakes.  From this neutral space, your heart can guide you in the direction of your greatest excitement and potential.  You can choose to go in any direction.  The quartz crystal in the bowls amplifies energy, which means that any intention you focus on will be more powerful than in everyday life.  Sound-Diving™ is the perfect opportunity to bring your body and soul into balance and gain a better understanding of your purpose in life.
