Gravity & Grace: Resistance as your inner teacher.
Suitable for beginners and all levels.
Hatha yoga is a tool for meeting resistance in our bodies and thoughts in a productive way. How one approaches this practice determines the quality yoga brings to our lives. During this class, experience how the subtle external force of Gravity educates our bodies, influencing our practice through the power of surrender as we meet resistance in the physical body. This process strengthens our intuition as we trust our feeling “minds” (heart, navel), which opens us to experience the subtle internal force of Grace, that appears as our relationship to resistance in the psychological body deepens, and guidance is provided from the inner voice/inner teacher. With this, we cultivate a truly personal practice and the wisdom borne of our own experience. This type of practice has the power to overcome deeply held patterns of contraction and imbalance, often the result of previous injuries or overworking the major joints of the body, and is applicable to any style of yoga. |
