Hailing from Australia, Ganga Giri personifies the sound of Traditional Australian Didjeridu creating a powerful rhythmic style. The ensemble mixes pumping, percussive Didjeridu with fat tribal beats, funky dub bass lines with world percussion sounds to create a unique tribal-technological deep earth dance experience. Explosive and pulsating, at times ambient and flowing. The music is a multilayered experience of complex grooves and raw natural sound.

Ganga Giri has gained the respect of Aboriginal didgeridu (yidaki) players for his unique approach to didgeridu playing. Deeply inspired by the sacredness of Australia’s land and how that feeling can be expressed through the didjeridu, he has become an ambassador for his country, offering his worldwide audience a reflection of contemporary multicultural Australia. Join Ganga Giri for a workshop on better understanding and playing this hypnotic instrument that has been around for 2000 years. This workshop will provide an overview on how to make the Drone, animal calls, vocal rhythms and circular breathing techniques to play the Didj. As limited didj are available, bring your own for this fantastic experience.
