Danny Paradise – Astanga Yoga Teacher & Musician

 

Presenter Bio:


Danny Paradise has been practicing Ashtanga Yoga since 1976 and teaching worldwide since 1979. He initially studied with the first Western teachers of Ashtanga, David Williams and Nancy Gilgoff. Danny learned the beginning, intermediate and advanced sequences from them over 4 years. He studied with Sri Patabbhi Jois in 1978 and 1980.

He has also studied with Yoga teachers and Spiritual guides in many other lineages and traditions as well as teachers of Kung Fu, Tai Chi and Karate.
Danny draws from the teachings of Krishnamurti, Buddha, Ancient Egypt as well as many indigenous cultures: Hawaiian, Mayan, Native North and South American.

He communicates the teachings on ancient traditions in a non-dogmatic contemporary, compassionate, humorous way. His purpose is to help people develop a sacred, safe, meditative, healing, joyful, expanding, pain free, personal self-practice. Danny teaches all the Ashtanga sequences with emphasis on an expanding evolving practice as well as showing derivative poses, modifications and variations.

Danny has introduced Ashtanga Yoga to world famous artists, musicians, actors, film directors, sports champions and has taught extensively around the world more than any other teacher on earth.  Holding regular classes throughout Europe, North and South America, Africa, the Middle-East and Asia, Danny was also the first traveling Ashtanga teacher.

The Ecstatic Ways of Knowing; The Sacred Gift Of Yoga, Personal Reponsibility, Personal Authority...
An intro to Danny's Non-Dogmatic, humorous, gentle, healing approach with emphasis on an expanded standing sequence with derivative poses. Modifications and variations, primary sequence of Ashtanga and an expanded finishing sequence.

2.

SHAMANISM, EVOLUTION, TOTAL FREEDOM AND ASHTANGA YOGA
Personal Empowerment and Healing, Communicating with the Heart Of The Universe,:
An extended standing sequence with derivative poses including Egyptian poses  (Origins of Classical Yoga from  India.), and an introdction to 2nd series for all levels of practitioners and Teachers of all forms of Yoga. Primary series can also be practiced.

3.

SHAMANISM, EVOLUTION, TOTAL FREEDOM AND ASHTANGA YOGA
Yoga- Personal Destiny, Aging and Death
An exploration of an expanded standing sequence 2nd series and possibly elements of 3rd or Advanced, as well as other derivative routines from other traditions.  Primary series can also be practiced.
